Website design uses many different disciplines and skills in the creation and upkeep of sites. The different areas of website design include the graphic design of the logo, background images and images; the design of the interface; writing, including standard code and custom scripts; website design for the user experience (Human Computer Interaction), and search engine optimisation. Often many individuals will work in teams that will cover dedicated aspects of the website design process, however some website designers will cover all areas.
It is expected that website designers have an understanding of usability and if its function relating to the design of the brand for their clients website, it is also expected that they keep up-to-date with the recent website accessibility guidelines.
